100% Mulberry Silk - Pooka - Bulky Weight - ~100m/100g hank - Harebells in the Glade

This color was inspired by the beautiful little harebell flower, Binky's favorite.  In folklore, harebells were said to grow where hares congregate.  Binky says knitting with this yarn is like knitting the texture of chocolate.  Very rich in color and texture!  We took two strands of our Wolpertinger base (light/DK) and added an extra strand of Al mi-raj (lace-weight) to create a whole new texture with a tweedy look.

This yarn is perfect for chunkier knits, Aran-type sweaters, outerwear, heavy shawls, and blankets.

We name all our silk yarn bases after jackalopes from around the world.  "P O O K A - Pooka - from old Celtic mythology - a fairy spirit in animal form - always very large. The pooka appears here and there - now and then - to this one and that one - a benign but mischievous creature - very fond of rum pots, crackpots, and how are you, Mr. Wilson? Who in the encyclopedia wants to know?!

The Pooka line of our yarn is all our special creations.  Each lot is different and unique, just like their namesake Pookas.
