Bunnycorn

We name all our silk yarn bases after jackalopes from around the world.  The Bunnycorn was gifted to Alexander the Great by the grateful inhabitants of Serpent Island when he rid them of the terrible monster preying on their livestock.  Alexander was quite surprised by the gift and decided it was best to leave the Bunnycorn on the island to scare away any future invading beasties.  The Bunnycorn is larger than most jackalopes and has a camouflage pattern to their fur that helps them blend in with their surroundings for surprise attacks, which involves spearing their victim on the long horn protruding from their forehead.  Hence the name Bunnycorn.  Yet when befriended, they are quite loyal and loveable.

Our Bunnycorn base is 100% mulberry silk spun from the long fibers remaining after the primary reeling process, twisted into 2 plies.  This yarn is perfect for any project needing a lace weight yarn, such as Estonian or Shetland lace, wedding veils, and light and airy shawls.
