KnitAntics provides the luxury of silk packed with a healthy dose of whimsical attitude.  We work with local sources in India to provide the highest quality, 100% mulberry silk yarn at reasonable prices.  KnitAntics designs the colors and textures, and our local artisan partners create the hand-dyed magic using traditional methods.  The possibilities we create are only limited by our imagination.

Silk is incredibly versatile.  We create a variety of textures using different lengths of fibers.  The longer the fiber, the shinier the yarn, as in our Pooka base.  Using shorter fibers, we can create wool-like analogues to fine Merino wool, without the scratchy texture sensitive skin might object to.

We name all our yarn bases after Jackalopes the world over.  Why Jackalopes?  They are fun, whimsical, and most of all, unique!  Just like our yarns.  We are always adding new and creative yarns and bases to our collection.
