Oibadrischel
The Oibadrischel is one of the Wolpertinger family of jackalopes and are found only in the western mountainous region of Austria, from Salzburg west toward Switzerland. Particular concentrations of the Oibadrischel may be found in the alpine valleys along the banks of the Hallstattersee, where they were revered by the early Celtic peoples mining salt in the mountains. When King Karl-Under-The-Mountain arises from his slumber in his royal court deep insite Untersberg, his loyal companion, Wuschel (VOO-shel, which roughly translates as "Fluffy") will be by his side to usher in a New Age of peace and prosperity for all.
Our Oibadrischel base is a blend of wool and mulberry silk. The silk and wool are carded together and spun into a variety of weights and wool/silk percentages. This yarn has a lovely loft and texture that is bright and lustrous. The base does not felt well, but will shrink approximately 14%, which makes this yarn perfect for hats and other clothing articles.
All our yarns are hand-dyed in small batches. Catch all the Oibadrischel colors in our Etsy Shop before they hop away!
