This yarn is 142 yards of bulky weight (5) with a feel similar to leathery wool.  If you like wool, but are sensitive, this yarn is for you!

This yarn is created from 100% mulberry silk spun from the shortest fibers remaining after the primary reeling and spinning processes.  The color is rich and engaging, a combination of smoky blue and purple with dusty rose, like looking out over the Appalachians from the Blue Ridge Parkway.  Traditional dyeing techniques are used to create this bright colorway.

This bulky, 4-ply yarn is perfect for sweaters and afghans, toys and stuffies, cowls and hoods, or anything you like to stay warm and toasty.

This yarn is best used on 5.5 - 8.0 mm needles or crochet hooks, or size best suited to your project.
