Collection: Dilldap

We name all our silk yarn bases after jackalopes from around the world.  The dilldap is an odd jackalope species.  They are only found in the Alemannic region of Germany.  A very shy species, the dilldap have white to grey fur and antelope horns.  They are most often found in the company of the Alpine version of the Yeti, where they engage in yodeling contests.

This yarn is spun from the remaining short fibers left from the reeling and spinning processes.  The fibers are cleaned and spun together to give the yarn a wool-like, leathery appearance.  This base is available in several plies, depending on your weight need.  If you like wool, but are sensitive to it, this is your yarn!
